“ I rarely go to this side of the bay area, but since I was already here running errands, I decided to check out the new Costco. This place was fairly close by, and I'm always on the lookout for some good soup dumplings. My favorite place is a specific spot in NY (No, not Joe's Shanghai. But they are pretty good) and I've been scouring the bay area trying to find someplace comparable in flavor and amount of soup at a similarly affordable price. The wrapper of the soup dumplings has the texture of a really good homemade wrapper but it's still delicate and structurally sound. Whereas Dumpling Home in SF is charging x3 the price for a undeniably high quality soup dumpling, I would definitely choose this place over those prices every time. The food also comes out quick, I ordered 8 dishes and the food was already starting to arrive within 10 minutes, albeit the first to arrive was preprepped dishes like the cold spicy tripe and the hot and sour soup, very efficient. Pea sprouts followed shortly after, as well as the salted egg tofu, and the clay pot beef with king oyster mushrooms. The steamed food came last, as expected since steaming takes time, which included the crab and pork soup buns, and the loofah and shrimp. The loofah and shrimp surprisingly has no pork base inside, its just chopped up loofah and shrimp, so its pescatarian friendly, and despite being a big lover of meats, I found it to be surprisingly delicious. The shiu mai is made with a traditional homemade mixture that reminds me of the dumplings/stuffed eggplants and peppers that my grandma used to have us help make. Summary, food is delicious, price is great. TLDR: This place is great, it's affordable, and for the price, you get really good quality and delicious food. ”
“ Decent homemade style dumpling and Chinese dishes spot. I love their stir fried sakura shrimp cabbage and shrimp luffa steam dumpling. Great service and nice environment too! Variety of Chinese/Taiwanese yummy dishes to choose from. ”
“ We had lunch with families here. Kids love the soup pork dumpling and pork rice. We ordered a big pot of seafood rice noodles. I love the soup so much, and it is so flavored and delicious. The fried cabbage is a bit salty and this is the only thing I would complain about. Other than that, we love all the dishes we ordered. Will definitely come back again. ”
“ I've been here twice, once was with my wife, the other time was with friends, eight of us. Parking was easy since it is located at a strip mall. Your have to wait if you come late. Service is pretty good. Price is fair. ”
“ Restaurant specializes in dumplings. People are going to want a comparison to din tai fung, so what I'll say is it has a thicker chewier wrapper with a more meaty filling. In my opinion this place has better value. Juicy pork dumplings : chewy wrapper with a meaty interior. I wish it was slightly more juicy. Juicy dumplings w/ loofah shrimp : shrimp was really tender, and the loofah paired well. Steamed shrimp dumplings : thicker wrapper compared to the soup dumplings. Filling has a lot of flavor with herbs like cilantro. I wish the shrimp would shine a bit more. Sauteed cabbages sakura shrimps : not too oily and reminds me of home cooking. Sweet Chinese bun condensed milk : very similar to the sweet buns at dim sum places. House special taro rice noodle : basically a hot pot served in a large clay pot filled with rice noodles and various seafood, including whole squid, fish balls, imitation crab, and taro. I'm not the biggest fan of this kind of rice noodles, so this dish doesn't speak to me, but it has a very authentic taste. ”
“ We've been here at least 10 times and we keep coming back because it's simply too good! We now come every two weeks Their braised pork rice is the best ive had in the bay area!!! I also love their loofah shrimp xlb, it's truly amazing. My husband loves beef noodle soup so much, it's a must eat for him. The beef roll was great too! ”
“ The best soup dumplings I've had in the Bay area by far! If you like, the loofah squash and shrimp one was definitely very unique and tasty. All the dishes we've tried were on-point!. There aren't many restaurants in the bay where I "ooo" and "ahh" over their dishes but this place does. Other notable dishes we've tried includes the salted egg tofu, beef noodle soup, and the cumin beef dish. It can get crowded on a weekend so be prepared to wait a bit! ”
“ We had a delicious dinner here. The quality of the food was excellent, the service attentive. While the ambiance is nothing special, the dining area was simple, clean and tidy. We ordered 4 dishes for the two of us and had leftovers: Loofah shrimp and pork/crab dumplings. Juicy, delicate skin, and great flavor. Stirfry pea shoots with garlic was bountiful and also well prepared. Our 4th dish was seafood shredded pork, tofu, in XO sauce. A delicious and interesting combination of many ingredients. Very impressed with this restaurant and would come again. ”
